morning as the rain cleared the coast from last night. we have a break up in the clouds, lots of sun on the way and it is getting breezy out there. 51 degrees in philadelphia currently. in the 40s in the reading and lancaster. 50 in wilmington, 47 in trenton. 58 in millville. 56 in cape may. the sustained winds are noticeable, 10 miles per hour in philadelphia. where you see the blue that's where the wind gusts have picked up. they are up to 20 miles per hour. they will get stronger than that once the sun gets up and we get going in the day. 48 by noon, blustery. today's high, 57. it will be cool. down to 52 by 6:00 p.m. we'll have the friday evening forecast coming up and the weekend call, karen, looks like we'll get up into the 70s across the region this weekend. >> reporter: nice change coming our way. we have a problem early this morning. here's an accident in new jersey, right on the atlantic city expressway as you head
eastbound towards atlantic city, near route 42. you can see the accident a lot of emergency workers on the scene. this is a tow truck they have set up the flares blocking the right lane, the right shoulder, traffic kind of squeezing by at times, eastbound the atlantic city expressway at 42, a big accident there. another problem, 295 northbound between 42 and 168. this area right here, we've got one of two lanes blocked with construction and they are not clearing until 8:00 a.m. as the morning commute kicks in, we'll see delays right there. watch for that on 295. otherwise, blue route, schuylkill expressway, i-95 all in pretty good shape. we've got a live shot of the schuylkill expressway here at the boulevard. that's westbound traffic moving just fine, no delays just yet, just a little damp out there. so take it easy. >> we have information on the officer-involved shooting in juniata. someone called police after a man threatened to kill himself
on the 3800 block of elsennor street. police found a man pointing a knife at his chest. when he did not drop the knife they tasered. it agitated the man. he lunged at the police officers with the knife and the police opened fire. the man is in stable, but critical condition. a plane carrying mike pence skidded off the runway as it landed at laguardia in new york city. there were injuries in the rough landing which occurred in the raining evening in the city, a lot of people on board reported being really frightened. annie mccormick is live in bucks county where mike pence will stop later today. good morning, anne e annie. >> reporter: following that
